Job summary

Avery Healthcare are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join Esher Manor Care Home in Esher, Surrey. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver a nutritionally balanced, high-quality culinary service for our residents, within a caring team.

The role requires catering qualifications and a DBS check; you will work in a supportive environment with opportunities to grow and develop your career in elder care.

Qualifications

• Hold a catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent.
• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Have a minimum of 1-year catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver a nutritionally balanced, high-quality culinary service.
• Attend meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering needs and special diets.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard.
• Assist with cost-effective stock control to minimise waste and maintain systems.
• Develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
