We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join our team in our brand new kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. As a culinary artist, you will bring joy and comfort through food, playing a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life by preparing nutritious, delicious meals tailored to diverse dietary needs. With a passion for gastronomy and service, you will craft menus that delight the palate while supporting health and well-being, creating memorable dining experiences that honor individual preferences.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Catering to residents across the Village, including the care home, serviced suites, restaurant/spa guests, and residents' apartments or special events.
  • Preparing and cooking food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
  • Being attentive to residents', villagers', and Wellness Spa clients’ dietary needs, responding to their comments and requests regarding menus.
  • Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate as required.
  • Ensuring all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention to high-risk, perishable goods.
  • Maintaining a welcoming, safe, and compliant dining environment for residents.
  • Helping to keep the working area clean and hygienic.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Passion for food, with experience in a professional kitchen, preferably catering to special dietary requirements.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally with an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or similar certification.
  • An innovative and organized approach to cooking, adhering to high standards and remaining calm during busy service times.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively to deliver excellent dining experiences.
