Job description

Job Title: Chef de Partie

This stylish and elegant hotel is seeking an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team, working under a highly talented Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a section in the kitchen, creating high-standard dishes and ensuring quality and consistency.
  2. Share your passion for cooking with your team, providing training and development.
  3. Plan and oversee daily operations of your section to meet service requirements.
  4. Follow all health and hygiene standards.
  5. Supervise and lead a team of Commis and Demi Chefs.
  6. Sample, observe, and ensure food conforms to recipes and standards.
  7. Assign tasks from the Sous Chef and check their proper execution.
  8. Manage stock requisitions and transfers, maintaining high stock rotation.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and efficiency in your section, optimizing food utilization.
  10. Participate in food production, portioning, and cost control.
  11. Coordinate with back-of-house personnel to ensure efficient food production.
  12. Conduct daily quality inspections in your section.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Levels 2 & 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Michelin-starred or AA Rosette establishment.
  • Background in hotel or restaurant settings.
  • Good knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • COSHH knowledge.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
