The Zetter Group is seeking a Chef de Partie for The Zetter 717 Amsterdam to lead one shift daily, covering breakfast service and Library Bar prep. A relief cook covers days off, while you manage stock, ordering, hygiene and HACCP paperwork with a focus on teamwork.
We are looking for a hands-on professional with high standards, strong organisation, and clear English communication who can run a small kitchen independently in a premium hospitality setting.
Set within a historic residence on Prinsengracht, in Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed Canal District, The Zetter 717 is our first home beyond London. Behind its discreet front door are 24 individually designed bedrooms, a private garden and warm, intuitive hospitality – all shaped by the character of the building and the city around it. Today, old timber, marble, artworks and architectural details meet tactile fabrics, antiques and unexpected finds — creating a stay that feels less like checking into a hotel and more like being handed the keys to a very special Amsterdam home.
As Chef de Partie at The Zetter 717 Amsterdam, you run the kitchen on one shift per day, covering breakfast service and preparation of the Library Bar menu. A relief cook covers your days off. You are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, cleaning, HACCP compliance and paperwork, and kitchen organisation.
This is a full-time, hands-on role requiring strong technical ability, pace, and pride in standards, with a focus on consistency, organisation, hygiene, and teamwork.
The Zetter is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where every colleague is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. Employment decisions are based on merit, qualifications, performance, and business needs. We are committed to providing equal opportunities and maintaining a working environment free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation.
This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and expectations of the role and is not intended to be exhaustive. As hospitality is a dynamic industry, duties may evolve in line with operational requirements and business needs. Flexibility and adaptability form an essential part of this position.
