Job summary

Green & Fortune is seeking a Chef de Partie for our events kitchen at Kings Place, London. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment delivering exceptional dishes for conferences, corporate events, private dining, and hospitality functions.

You will support senior chefs, manage your section, and help maintain quality, consistency, and presentation. We value culinary excellence, teamwork, and memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong background in high-volume restaurant or hospitality kitchens.
• Ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in running the kitchen to high standards.
• Prepare and deliver hot and cold dishes with consistency and speed.
• Manage your designated section and ensure presentation meets standards.
• Assist in creating seasonal menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
• Ensure efficient production while maintaining creativity and attention to detail.
• Follow health and safety standards and complete due diligence documentation.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and support colleagues during busy periods.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier communication.
• Support training and development of junior chefs and kitchen porters.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, cooking, service, and creativity.
• Prepare and deliver hot and cold dishes, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely service.
• Manage your designated section, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes consistently meet our high standards.
• Assist in creating seasonal menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is produced efficiently while maintaining creativity and attention to detail.
• Protect the health and safety of guests and team members by following food safety, health, and hygiene standards, ensuring all due diligence documentation is completed accurately.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture by maintaining composure and enthusiasm, even during busy service periods.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier communication to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
• Support the training and development of junior chefs and kitchen porters, helping to build a high-performing and supportive team.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working order.

Requirements

• Strong background in high-volume restaurant or hospitality kitchens, with experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality food.
• Ability to create a variety of dishes that balance flavour, creativity, and efficiency.
• Confidence working under pressure while remaining organised and calm.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, with the ability to follow best practices.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a passion for mentoring and supporting colleagues.
