Job summary

Sea Containers London on London’s South Bank is recruiting a Chef de Partie for its multi-outlet kitchen. You will manage your section across conferences, banquets, weddings, and private events, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards with consistency and food safety in mind.

Working with a talented brigade, you’ll support the Sous Chefs and Head Chef daily, maintain clean procedures, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a hotel, banqueting, events, or high-volume kitchen environment.
• A passion for quality food and hospitality.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive and positive approach to teamwork.
• A good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering high-quality food for events, room service, and the staff canteen.
• Taking ownership of your section during preparation and service.
• Supporting the Sous Chefs and Head Chef in the day-to‑day operation of the kitchen.
• Ensuring all food is prepared in line with recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety.
• Assisting with stock control, food rotation, and minimising waste.
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive team culture.

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing your section and supporting the delivery of food across multiple outlets and services, including: Conferences, banquets, weddings, and private events In-room dining Staff Canteen

Working alongside a talented kitchen brigade, the Chef de Partie ensures every dish is prepared and presented to the highest standards while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and excellent food safety practices.

What You'll Be Doing

Salary: £36,692 p/a + service charge, plus benefits
