CHEF DE PARTIE — NAKIMUSHI
Notting Hill, London
Salary: dependent on experience
Nakimushi is a Japanese restaurant set across a Notting Hill townhouse, from the team behind Dorian, EEL Sushi and Supermarket of Dreams. Bringing together the cooking of Urchin and Robin’s Ramen, it’s a place for Japanese small plates, beautifully made ramen and warm, lively hospitality.
Our kitchen team is growing.
We’re looking for a Chef de Partie who cares about what goes on the plate and brings that same care to their prep, their section and the people alongside them.
You’ll be confident running your section, enjoy a busy service and have the curiosity to keep learning. Good instincts, high standards and a proper love of food matter to us, alongside an interest in Japanese ingredients and techniques.
The role
Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll:
Take ownership of your section, from preparation through to service.
Deliver consistently excellent dishes, with attention to flavour, presentation and timing.
Keep your mise en place organised and your section ready for service.
Handle ingredients carefully, manage stock rotation and minimise waste.
Support junior chefs, sharing your knowledge and setting a good example.
Maintain excellent food hygiene, allergen awareness and kitchen safety standards.
Play your part in keeping the kitchen calm, focused and working together.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have experience as a Chef de Partie, or are a strong Demi Chef ready to step up.
Take pride in your cooking and want to develop your skills.
Have an interest in Japanese cooking; experience is welcome.
Work cleanly, communicate clearly and stay organised under pressure.
Respond well to feedback and bring a positive, practical attitude.
Understand that a great service takes the whole team.
This is an opportunity to take responsibility for your section, develop your knowledge of Japanese cooking and contribute to a kitchen with plenty of ambition.
