Harrods in Knightsbridge, London, is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our luxury restaurant team. You will help run a kitchen section, support the Sous Chef, and ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene.
You will supervise junior cooks, assist with stock planning and labeling, and contribute to an efficient, fast-paced service. The role offers contracted hours, competitive pay up to £17 per hour, and access to staff benefits including leave and discounts.
As a Chef De Partie, you will be joining a passionate, supportive, and successful restaurant team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.
As a Chef De Partie, your role is to act as a vital part of the team by ensuring the smooth running of a section and providing support to the Sous Chef and other team members. In this role, you'll actively provide direction and support to the team to deliver the operational requirements of the day as needed. You'll assist the management in planning and forecasting of stock and orders, also supporting with the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored. You'll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all-food related outlets.
You’ll have previous experience within a professional kitchen, with a strong track record of time spent within a prestigious 5* hotel or high-end restaurant. You’ll also be confident working on all sections of the main kitchen, and be able to supervise the junior cooks in your area. You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must.
