Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a Chef de Partie for a prestigious University College kitchen in Cambridge. You will join a talented brigade and assist the Head Chef in serving fresh food to fellows, VIPs, staff and students.

The role features a 37.5-hour week on a rota, with weekends off as described. Ideal candidates are CDP or Junior Sous Chef level, with experience in busy all fresh food environments, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• CDP or Junior Sous Chef experience or equivalent.
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Experience in a busy all fresh food hotel kitchen.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ambitious and career oriented.
• Ideally NVQ Level 3 qualified.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and support junior chefs and the Sous.
• Work in a kitchen using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
• Prepare and plate meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner service and functions.

Excellent role in University College Kitchen - Straight Shifts - 2 weekends off per month

Chef de Partie. A Fantastic opportunity has arisen at this prestigious college for a Chef. As part of a talented brigade you will be assist the Head Chef in serving all fresh food to fellows, VIPs, staff and students. The role will invole preparing meals for fine dining, high end banqueting and college cafe/restauarnts. The role is 37.5 hours per week with shifts on a rota basis

The Role

• Reporting to the Head Chef you will be assisted by junior chefs and support them and the Sous.
• Working in the kitchen using fresh and seasonal ingredients

• You will already be a CDP or Junior Sous Chef
• Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Have experience of working in a busy all fresh food hotel kitchen
