Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a talented Chef to join our catering team at a busy site. This full-time role, 35 hours per week, offers a rewarding environment working with fresh seasonal ingredients and bespoke menus.

You will be part of a supportive team, deliver breakfast and lunch service to our pupils, and showcase your passion for great food while upholding our brand standards and high safety levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer or food preparation environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team and support breakfast and lunch service.
• Prepare food from scratch using fresh ingredients following brand standards.

Salary: £15.19 per Hour
Hours: 35 per week

A top performing prep school in Birmingham for children from Nursery to Year 8. Catering for just under 600 students and teachers daily.

We are looking for a talented Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Birmingham

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

To work well in a team, Working alonside assisting the Chef team .. providing Breakfast & Lunch
To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
Excellent customer service skills

You will have the following skills:

An organised person with attention to detail

Knowledge / competencies:
Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
