Job summary

Six by Nico in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie who is enthusiastic and driven to join our kitchen team. The role offers variety as menus change and ongoing opportunities for development under our Head Chef and Sous Chefs.

You will run a section, uphold high standards of food safety, and demonstrate strong organisation and ability to work under pressure. The position is paid hourly with service charge included.

Qualifications

• Food safety knowledge and ability to maintain high standards.
• Experience in running a kitchen section and following head chef directions.
• Understanding of modern food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from Head Chef & Sous Chefs while assisting daily kitchen operations.
• Run a kitchen section during service; sections rotate for development.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
• Deliver first-class service with a positive, multitasking approach.

We are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Partie who is an enthusiastic and driven individual, to join the team at Six by Nico.

The role

Due to our unique concept, we change menus on a regular basis which will give you the opportunity for continual development of your skills and knowledge with different cooking styles.

As a Chef de Partie at Six by Nico, you will:

• Be able to take direction from the Head Chef & Sous Chefs while assisting with the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring high level of food safety is maintained
• Be responsible for running a section during the day to day service; sections will alternate for your personal development
• Have a good knowledge & understanding on food, modern food preparation techniques and food safety.
• Be committed to delivering first class service
• Have a positive attitude and ability to multitask
• Have good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
