Job summary

San Carlo Birmingham is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare and cook food in your assigned section, uphold recipes and quality standards, and support efficient service across the restaurant.

• Managing their kitchen section and overseeing junior chefs or kitchen assistants
• Keeping their kitchen section clean, organized, and equipment properly maintained
• Collaborating with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely food preparation and service
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy
• Maintaining records of food inventory, prep, and waste for their section

Key Responsibilities:

  quality standards

  kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen
  assistants
• Ensuring that their section of
  the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly
  maintained
• Collaborating with other
  kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and
  served in a timely manner
• Adhering to company food
  safety and allergens policy
• Maintaining accurate records
  of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen
• Treat everyone with respect
  and remain calm at all times

Required Qualifications &
Experience:

• 2 year’s experience in a
  similar role
• Meticulous attention to
  detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
• A proactive self-starter who
  can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction
