San Carlo Bristol is hiring a Senior Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and uphold exceptional food quality and presentation. This role requires strong team management, training, and a proactive approach to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Team management experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations including preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Ensure food quality and presentation for customers.
• Manage kitchen staff including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Maintain a positive team through 1:1 meetings, incentives and recognition.
• Inductions for new starters and ensure training to company standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely service.
• Handle customer complaints related to food quality or service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Overall responsibility of food quality and presentation, sent out to customers
• Managing kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Maintaining a positive and engaged team through 1:1 meetings, incentives and recognition
• Inductions for all new starters in line with company procedure
• Manage the Sous Chefs to ensure all training is to company standards
• Ensuring that all kitchen staff follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and kitchen procedures
• Managing food inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Handling customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 2 year’s experience in a similar role
