Job summary

The Royal British Legion is recruiting a Casual Chef for Maurice House care home in the United Kingdom. You will support the Head Chef to deliver catering services, maintain high standards and meet dietary needs.

A NVQ Level 3 Cooking and an intermediate Food Hygiene certificate are expected, with experience in large-scale catering and team leadership. On-site role with flexible weekend/bank holiday shifts.

Qualifications

Job description

A new opportunity for a CasualChef to work in the kitchen at Maurice House care home. We have a casual contract available which will include weekend and bank holiday shifts. Salary £13.74 per hour.

You will work with Head chef to deliver the catering services within the home, maintaining a high standard of food provision and service to the residents, staff and visitors.

Educated to NVQ Level 3 Cooking or equivalent and an intermediate food hygiene certificate, you will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment for large number of people and experience of catering to meet special dietary requirements. In addition, you will be an effective communicator and have experience of leading a team and the management of stock control.

Previous experience of maintaining standards within a catering department according to Health & Safety and Food Safety Act and good IT skills are essential.
