Job Description

My client is currently recruiting for an experienced chef to work in a 60+ bed purpose-built care home. The position is full-time Days, 8-hour shifts.

Previous cooking experience is essential. Care home experience is not essential; however, the chef needs to have a hotel or care home background. We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative chef who can cook fresh, nutritious meals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
• Develop and maintain menus that are varied and appropriate
• Cater to a wide range of dietary needs
• Keep on top of relevant record keeping in line with policy and procedure
• Support with the ordering and stock taking of groceries

The successful applicant must agree to a DBS *Basic / Enhanced * Disclosure under the Criminal Records Bureau procedures. Employment will be offered to the successful applicant subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
