Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate Bank Chef to support across our care homes. This casual, part-time role focuses on delivering hotel/restaurant standards using fresh seasonal ingredients, while avoiding long shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in kitchen operations in their absence.
• Prepare and use fresh seasonal produce to create high-quality dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and welcoming environment in the home.
• Work within budget and controls.
• Complete regular kitchen audits and maintain standards.
• Manage stock control and ordering.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent meals.

Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter?

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. NEED TO HAVE
