Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is looking for a qualified chef to join as a casual, part-time Bank Chef. You will work with fresh seasonal food and help the Head Chef craft nutritious menus for residents.

This role offers flexible hours and a better work-life balance, avoiding long shifts while maintaining hotel/restaurant standards. As part of a dedicated team in UK healthcare homes, you will contribute to high-quality meals, ensure HACCP compliance, and tailor menus to residents' needs,

Qualifications

• Personable and warm approach with residents.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Experience leading a kitchen team.
• Good understanding of nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality dishes.

Are you a qualified chef looking to work with fresh seasonal food, with the opportunity to have more of a work life balance and make what you do matter?

This is a casual, part-time role offering flexible working. Working as a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them.
