Overview

What You Will Do: As a Chef at The Fleet Care Home, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving meals that are nutritious, well-balanced and tailored to meet the dietary needs of our residents. You will work alongside the Head Chef to plan varied menus that make the most of fresh ingredients and reflect the preferences of those in our care. You will manage daily kitchen operations, ensure stock is ordered and rotated effectively, and maintain accurate records for food safety compliance. You will oversee kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to the highest standards, supporting a safe and efficient working environment. Your creativity, attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure that every mealtime is something our residents look forward to.

• Oversee kitchen cleanliness and safety to support a productive environment.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent culinary qualification (achieved or in progress)
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Experience working in a busy kitchen environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
• Previous experience in a care setting or with specialised dietary needs is desirable
