Anchor Hanover Group is seeking an experienced Care Home Chef or Cook to join Kimberley Court in Newquay, Cornwall, on a genuinely part-time basis.

You will cook fresh, seasonal meals for 36 residents across three days per week, contribute to menu planning, and lead the kitchen when the Chef Manager is away. This role offers a strong part-time hourly rate with supportive, not-for-profit team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking from fresh for residents.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (Level 3 preferred).

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our kitchen at Kimberley Court in Newquay, Cornwall, on a part-time basis. Working alongside our Chef Manager, you'll prepare fresh, seasonal, home‑cooked meals for our 36 residents — cooking from scratch and contributing directly to menu planning and kitchen operations across your 3 days per week.

When the Chef Manager isn't in, you'll take the lead and keep things running smoothly. No late nights. No split shifts. Just good food, great hours, and a team that genuinely cares.

What We're Looking For

• A chef or cook who loves cooking from fresh — this isn't a reheat-and-serve kitchen
• Confident working from seasonal menus and delivering balanced, well‑presented dishes from scratch
• Happy to step up and run the kitchen independently when needed
• Looking for genuine part‑time hours — ideal alongside family commitments, study, or other work
• Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum (Level 3 preferred)
• Right to work in the UK (required)
