Berkeley Scott Recruitment are actively recruiting experienced Chefs for the new school year starting in September, with Impact Food Group. We have Education Chef roles across schools in Newcastle.

These term-time roles offer weekday work, work-life balance, and potential long-term or permanent placements in school kitchens. Benefits include weekly pay, weekends off, and opportunities to take on additional weekend/holiday work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef – preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for these roles
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willingness to obtain is essential
• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, as well as additional compliance training, is essential

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service

What You’ll Be Doing as an Education Chef

What We Are Looking For In Our Education Chefs
