Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment are seeking Education Chefs for schools in the Southampton area, with term-time schedules and opportunities to secure long-term placements. Working with Impact Food Group, you will join school kitchens to deliver nutritious meals and maintain high safety standards.

The roles offer weekday work, competitive pay, weekly payroll, weekends off, and potential for permanent opportunities. DBS checks and compliance training support are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months minimum experience as senior Chef, preferably in a school or similar environment.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available for these roles.
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willing to obtain is essential.
• Strong, reliable and excellent communication skills are essential.
• Passion for providing healthy meals for children and young people.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, with additional compliance training provided free of charge.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service.
• Adhering to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
