Job summary

ExtraCare Charitable Trust's Solihull Retirement Village is seeking a part-time Chef to join our small, friendly kitchen team. You will cook fresh meals, help with menu planning and meet residents' dietary requirements.

The role covers 27.5 hours per week on a permanent contract at £14.06 per hour (£20,166 per year pro rata). We offer a supportive environment, an onsite gym, pension contributions and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef with fresh food cooking.
• Able to plan menus and handle special dietary requirements.
• Contribute to smooth running of the kitchen in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to provide freshly cooked meals.
• Offer residents a diverse menu with good nutritional value.
• Assist with kitchen duties and HACCP procedures.
• Ensure menus are prepared within budget.

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Chef to join us at our luxury, independent living, Solihull Retirement Village based in Birmingham.

Are you an experienced Chef who is creative and likes to cook with fresh food? You will be involved with menu planning, special dietary requirements and contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen within a small team.

You will be given the responsibility for the kitchen in the head chef's absence, and we will provide all the support and training you need.

What will you do as our Chef?

• Work with our Head Chef, responsible for providing freshly cooked meals


• Offer residents an excellent choice of meals which provide good nutritional value.


• Assist with other kitchen duties and ensure HACCP is followed.


• Ensure the menus are prepared within budget.
