Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a caring, motivated full-time catering assistant to support the chef in delivering meals for our residents in a high-quality home set in pleasant grounds.

You will provide breakfast, lunch and supper service, promote calm, compassionate care, and work as part of a team. The role includes training, meals on shift, a pension plan and a range of wellbeing benefits; DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering/hospitality required.
• NVQ Level 2 in catering (or equivalent) and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Conscientious, empathetic and able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver breakfast, lunch and supper service to residents.
• Support the full-time chef in preparing and serving meals.
• Promote a positive, friendly attitude towards residents, suppliers and colleagues.
• Participate in regular training and development; meals provided on shift; DBS check required.

Job description

We are looking for caring, dedicated and motivated individual who can support the full time Chef to deliver the catering service for our residents that live in our high quality home set in beautiful grounds.

We offer the following services for our residents

• Breakfast, lunch and supper service
• Individual catering packages for residents

Experience working in a catering/hospitality setting is essential to this role, as well as having a passion for producing quality food. If you hold a current basic food hygiene certificate, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. The successful candidate will also need to hold an NVQ Level 2 in catering (or equivalent.)

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, empathetic and hard-working who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times.

You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our residents, suppliers and colleagues.

31.5 hours per week on a rota system.
