Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Leicester, at Skelton Court, is seeking a culinary professional to provide high-quality, resident-focused catering. You will tailor meals to dietary needs and contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented team culture.

Role requires managing food safety, budgeting, staff supervision, and staff development, with comprehensive benefits and commitment to inclusive work. This position supports our learning disabilities service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a catering environment with a track record of cooking for diverse groups.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality is required; a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality, versatile catering service that meets residents' individual needs, including special diets.
  • Manage food and labour budgets through rota planning, purchasing, and control of food supplies.
  • Oversee order management, stock audits and input of weekly labour and daily cash records.
  • Implement and manage the Food Safety Management System and ensure team compliance.
  • Schedule cleaning and maintenance routines to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a pristine kitchen environment.
  • Assist in supervising and developing staff.
