Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living at Skelton Court, 41 Ryder Road, Leicester, LE3 6UJ, is seeking a part-time Chef to provide high-quality catering for residents. You will manage menus, budgets, and dietary needs in a supportive, community-focused setting.

Qualifications

  • Proven catering experience cooking for diverse groups.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality.
  • Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Proficiency with online catering software packages.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety procedures and budgeting.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality, versatile catering service that meets residents' needs, including special diets.
  • Manage food and labour budgets through rota planning, purchasing, and control of supplies.
  • Oversee order management, stock audits, and weekly labour and daily cash records.
  • Implement and manage Food Safety Management System for team compliance.
  • Schedule cleaning and maintenance to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a pristine kitchen.
  • Assist in supervising and developing staff.

  • A friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
