Aramark UK is seeking a Chef to join our team at Baker Barracks in Emsworth (PO10 8DH). You will prepare and cook meals for various services, support special dining events, and maintain high standards of food safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 1/2 (or equivalent) in cookery or culinary arts.
• Experience working in a busy catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
• Supporting fine dining and hospitality events for special occasions.
• Following recipes, menus, and company policies.
• Working with the kitchen team to deliver high quality meals.
• Mentoring new colleagues where required.
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and rotation.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team at Baker Barracks, Emsworth, PO10 8DH. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to work within a busy military catering environment, delivering high-quality meals and supporting special dining events while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
• Supporting fine dining and hospitality events for special occasions
• Following recipes, menus, and all company policies and procedures
• Working collaboratively as part of a talented kitchen team
• Supporting and mentoring new colleagues where required
• Managing stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring stock rotation is completed correctly
• Maintaining accurate kitchen records and due diligence documentation
• Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management
• Supporting deep cleaning schedules and maintaining a safe, organised kitchen environment

Qualifications

About you

• Relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent)
• Confident chef who enjoys working as part of a team
• Flexible, creative, and passionate about producing great food
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy catering environment
• Own transportation is desirable due to limited public transport links

Additional Information

• Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK
• Successful candidates will be required to pass security vetting and DBS checks prior to commencing employment
