Job summary

Aramark UK at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright invites a passionate Chef to join a fast-paced kitchen and deliver quality meals for recruits. Working full-time, 37.5 hours per week across early and late shifts, you’ll help prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, including occasional fine dining for events.

The role offers on-site parking, free meals on shift, career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A relevant culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1/Level 2 or equivalent).
• Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks (UK residency for past 3 years required).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - plus fine dining for special events.
• Following recipes and all policies and procedures.
• Mentoring new colleagues and working as part of a team.
• Managing stock, placing orders, and keeping kitchen records up to date.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Supporting with kitchen deep cleans and due diligence paperwork.

Pay rate: £14.76 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, andy 5 days out of 7 (includes some weekends)
Shift times: Early shift 0500-1330; Late shift 1130 - 1930
