Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment are seeking an experienced Education Chef for a temporary role in Colchester starting September, supporting term-time hours in schools for Impact Food Group. The position offers weekday work with weekends off and potential for permanent placements.

Additional shifts may be available at weekends and during holidays. You will prepare nutritious meals, plan menus to guidelines, manage kitchen stock, ensure food safety and supervise kitchen assistants.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef – preferably in a school or similar environment
  • Right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for these roles
  • Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willing to obtain is essential
  • Strong, reliable, and excellent communication skills are essential
  • A passion for providing healthy meals for children and young people
  • Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, as well as additional compliance training, is essential and will be provided free of charge for all applicants
