Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment is recruiting experienced Chefs for the new school year across Ashford with Impact Food Group. This term-time weekday role offers consistent hours, competitive pay, and potential long-term or permanent placements in school kitchens.

Rates depend on experience and site. You’ll prepare nutritious meals, plan menus, and maintain high hygiene standards while supporting kitchen staff. Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS are required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef, preferably in schools or similar environments.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Managing stock, ordering supplies and minimising waste.
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service.
• Adhering to all food safety and health and safety regulations.

What We Are Looking For In Our Education Chefs

• Strong, reliable, and excellent communication skills are essential
