Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group’s Augusta Court in Chichester, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Chef or Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare fresh, seasonal meals for 46 residents daily, working with the Chef Manager to deliver meals from scratch.

Shifts run 7:30am–5:30pm, four days a week, with no late nights and every other weekend off. When needed, you’ll lead the kitchen to keep operations running smoothly and maintain high standards across the board.

Qualifications

• A chef or cook who loves cooking from fresh — not a reheat-and-serve kitchen.
• Confident working from seasonal menus and delivering balanced, well-presented dishes from scratch.
• Happy to step up and run the kitchen independently when needed.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene minimum (Level 3 preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, seasonal meals for 46 residents daily, from scratch.
• Contribute to menu planning and kitchen operations.
• Lead in Chef Manager’s absence and ensure smooth kitchen running.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Chef or Cook to join our kitchen at Augusta Court in Chichester, West Sussex. Working alongside our Chef Manager, you'll prepare fresh, seasonal, home-cooked meals for 46 residents daily — cooking from scratch and contributing directly to menu planning and kitchen operations.

When the Chef Manager isn't in, you'll take the lead and keep things running smoothly. No late nights. No split shifts. Just good food, great hours, and a team that genuinely cares.
