Job summary

Anchor Hanover in Chichester, West Sussex, seeks an experienced Chef or Cook to join Augusta Court kitchen, preparing fresh meals for 46 residents daily, working with the Chef Manager, cooking from scratch and contributing to menu planning and kitchen operations.

When the Chef Manager isn't in, you'll lead the kitchen, with no late nights or split shifts. The role offers 7:30am–5:30pm shifts, 4 days per week, and a clear path to Chef Manager, plus pension and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking from fresh, not reheating.
• Ability to work from seasonal menus and present dishes from scratch.
• Willing to run the kitchen independently when needed.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene (Level 3 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, seasonal meals for residents daily.
• Assist with menu planning and kitchen operations.
• Lead the kitchen in the Chef Manager's absence.
• No late nights or split shifts.
