Berkeley Scott Recruitment is actively recruiting experienced Chefs for education contracts in the Chester area. Work with Impact Food Group on term-time school catering roles offering weekday hours, balancing work with family life and the potential for long-term placements in school kitchens.

Roles emphasise nutritious meal preparation, adherence to school guidelines, and strong hygiene standards. DBS checks and Level 2 Food Safety are required, with sponsor-ship not available for these

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as senior Chef, preferably in a school or similar environment
• Right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for these roles
• Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willing to obtain is essential
• Strong, reliable, and excellent communication skills are essential
• A passion for providing healthy meals for children and young people
• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, as well as additional compliance training, is essential and will be provided free of charge for all applicants

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff
• Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
• Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service
• Adhering to all food safety and health & safety regulations
