Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS with child workforce or willingness to obtain is essential.
  • Strong, reliable communication skills are essential.
  • A passion for providing healthy meals for children and young people.
  • Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens, with additional compliance training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff.
  • Planning menus in line with school guidelines and dietary requirements.
  • Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
  • Supervising and supporting kitchen assistants during service.
  • Adhering to all food safety and health and safety regulations.
