Job summary

The Westbury care home in Bristol is seeking an experienced chef to lead the in-house kitchen for our elderly residents. You will design menus, oversee meal preparation, and ensure nutritious, high‑quality dining experiences while managing a kitchen team in a supportive environment.

We value flexible candidates who can work weekends and holidays. An enhanced DBS check is required, and successful applicants will receive ongoing training and development within a growing UK care home group.

Qualifications

• Recent experience cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting.
• Experience leading and motivating a catering team.
• Experience providing food for people with special dietary requirements.
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends.
• Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Designing a varied menu that reflects residents tastes and nutritional needs.

Who We Are

Looking For You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting. You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team. Youll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements. Wed like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

How Youll Make a Difference

Youll be responsible for our residents meal experience and running the nursing homes kitchen. Leading and supporting a team, you will:
