Job summary

Somerleigh Court Care Home is recruiting a skilled Chef on Bank hours to lead the home’s kitchen and deliver meals for residents. You will design varied menus, maintain high food standards and mentor the kitchen team to ensure safe, nutritious meals.

We value experience cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting, managing a catering team and meeting dietary requirements, with an enhanced DBS check required. This role offers a rewarding opportunity within a supportive care environment.

Who We Are Looking For

• You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a commercial setting.
• You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team.
• You’ll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements.
• We’d like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends.
• An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll be responsible for our residents’ meal experience and running the nursing home’s kitchen. Leading and supporting a team, you will:
