Chopstix Group in Basildon is seeking energetic kitchen team members to join as Wok Star Chefs. You’ll prepare and cook dishes to our recipes, and you’ll work across stations while maintaining high food safety standards.

This role offers late-night shifts on select nights and a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment. Full training is provided to help you master our wok skills, with opportunities to grow and develop within the business.

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is helpful, but not essential.
• Full training provided to become a Chopstix Wok Star Chef.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook, and serve food to Chopstix recipes and specifications.
• Deliver great-tasting food with consistency, quality, and speed.
• Work across all kitchen stations, including food preparation, cooking and service.
• Ensure products are always fresh, presented correctly, and ready for our Flavour Cravers.
• Monitor stock levels and support deliveries, stock rotation and waste control.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment throughout your shift.
• Support the team during busy trading periods to keep service flowing smoothly.
• Learn and develop your wok skills through our training programmes.
• Work closely with front‑of‑house colleagues to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Take pride in the quality of every dish leaving the kitchen.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational routines as required.
• A passion for food and delivering quality every time.
• Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.
• A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Great teamwork and communication skills.
• The ability to stay organised and focused during busy periods.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Working in our open kitchen, you'll prepare and cook our dishes to specification, bringing energy, pace and consistency to every order. You'll become a Chopstix Food Expert, mastering our recipes and cooking techniques whilst maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards. We're looking for positive, reliable team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy learning new skills, and take pride in delivering freshly cooked food and a great experience for every customer. Full training is provided to help you become a Chopstix Wok Star Chef.
