Job summary

Cohens Family in Bramham seeks a 40-hour Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician to join our busy branch at 190 High Street, Boston Spa. You will lead dispensing activities and check prescriptions quickly and accurately while delivering outstanding customer care.

The role requires ACT qualification and registration with the GPhC, with a focus on coaching colleagues, building relationships, and maintaining our high standards of service in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Accuracy Checking Course (ACT) is essential.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dispensing activities through dispensing and checking prescription items quickly and accurately.
• Maintain high standards of customer care and services throughout the branch.
• Coach others in the branch to ensure consistent practice and service quality.

We are looking to recruit a 40-hour Qualified Checking Technician to work at our 445-branch located at 190 High Street, Boston Spa, LS23 6BT. The proposed shift pattern is:

• Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)


• Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)


• Wednesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)


• Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)


• Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

As a Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician you will lead the dispensing activities through dispensing and checking prescription items quickly and accurately. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.

You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice and excellent product knowledge and services. You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your branch to do the same. The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role. Proof of your completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT Qualification) and registration with the GPhC is essential.
