Job summary

Cohens Chemist is hiring a Regional Relief Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician to work across our Chester Le Street branch (5 Bridge End, DH3 3RE) on a 40-hour contract. You will lead dispensing activities, check prescriptions quickly and accurately, and maintain high customer service standards.

The role requires ACT qualification and registration with the GPhC, and you will coach colleagues while building strong relationships with customers.

11962 – 40 hour Regional Relief Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician - Permanent contract

We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Regional Relief Qualified Checking Technician to work at our 528 branch located at 5 Bridge End, Chester Le Street, DH3 3RE in region 16 with the requirement to work across the North East Area.

The proposed shift pattern is:

Monday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Tuesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Wednesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

As a Regional Relief Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician you will lead the dispensing activities through dispensing and checking prescription items quickly and accurately. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.

You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice and excellent product knowledge and services. You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your branch to do the same.

The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role.

Proof of your completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT Qualification) and registration with the GPhC is essential.
