Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Vehicle Line Manager for Chassis to own the complete Chassis systems content for full vehicle programmes in Woking. You will shape the High Level Plan, manage budgets, and act as the voice of the Chassis function across gate reviews and cross-functional teams.

The role requires extensive automotive programme experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of DFMEA/APQP.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (2:1 or above) required.
• Extensive experience on automotive programmes, including chassis systems.
• Experience delivering projects within OEM or Tier 1 environments.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and APQP frameworks.
• Strong problem solving and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver all Chassis project targets and deliverables across the vehicle programme.
• Generate and support technology decisions with business cases and lifecycle approach.
• Maintain Chassis High Level Plan (HLP) and ensure milestones meet development plan.
• Manage full Chassis budget and report to management.
