Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Chartered Town Planner to join its growing planning team in Chelmsford. You will provide professional planning advice, manage a diverse portfolio of planning applications, and help unlock opportunities across residential, commercial, and rural sectors.

The role offers ownership of projects, strong client relationships, and a route to contribute to the continued growth of a forward-thinking consultancy in a collaborative environment.

Competenze

• MRTPI membership is required or equivalent.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning.
• Experience in a planning consultancy, local authority or similar.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning system and development management processes.
• Experience managing planning applications and providing clear, commercially focused planning advice.

Mansioni

• Provide professional planning advice to clients.
• Manage planning applications for residential, commercial, mixed-use and rural projects.
• Advise clients on planning strategies and opportunities for planning permission.
• Support promotion of strategic development sites through Local Plan processes.
• Prepare planning appraisals, representations, planning statements and supporting docs.
• Manage planning appeals and enforcement matters as required.
• Liaise with local authorities, clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development.
