Job summary

3D Personnel LTD is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer for a permanent position in Derry. The successful candidate will lead diverse projects, manage teams, and ensure quality outcomes while contributing to business development.

Ideal candidates should have a BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering, with at least five years of experience. The role offers competitive remuneration, 33-38 days of holiday, hybrid working options, and various employee benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum five years’ post-graduate experience in a similar environment.
Proven design experience across all common building materials to current codes.
Full current driving licence (or equivalent access to transport).

Managing graduate engineers and technicians.

THE ROLE

Project leadership with real autonomy

Full ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects – leading from design through to completion
Managing graduate engineers and technicians
Primary client contact and collaboration with contractors and multi‑disciplinary consultants to deliver exceptional outcomes on time and within budget
Structural design calculations & drawings
Project team coordination & resource management
Client & consultant relationship management
Site inspections & quality assurance
Risk identification & mitigation
Fee forecasting & project invoicing
Mentoring graduates & junior engineers
Business development contribution
