A leading engineering firm in Birmingham is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to interpret client specifications and develop designs for plumbing and ventilation systems in the Rail environment. Ideal candidates will possess qualifications for Chartership with a UK Engineering Institution and demonstrate strong skills in mechanical design and systems knowledge. Qualifications

• Experience interpreting client specifications in designs.
• Ability to design heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical system controls/BMS design.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs based on client specifications.
• Select equipment based on produced designs.
• Design above ground plumbing and drainage systems.

Skills

Mechanical design experience in Rail environment

Knowledge of drainage and waste systems

Knowledge of Network Rail and London Underground standards
