Job Title: Chartered Paraplanner

Our client is seeking a Chartered Paraplanner to join their team in London. This role involves providing financial planning support to Private Client Advisors, assisting in delivering comprehensive financial planning services to both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Attend client meetings whenever possible, taking detailed notes and following up on technical points post-meeting.
2. Gather and analyze detailed information from clients, advisers, and other sources.
3. Produce clear suitability letters for clients.
4. Prepare lifetime cashflow models tailored to client circumstances and objectives.
5. Communicate these models effectively to clients in person and in writing.
6. Address queries and modify scenarios as needed.
7. Construct and produce financial plans addressing clients’ lifetime objectives, including contingency, legacy, asset allocation, wealth management, and tax planning.
8. Conduct regular reviews of clients’ financial plans and circumstances.
9. Handle complex client queries with technical expertise.
10. Interpret new technical, legislative, and regulatory information to ensure compliance with FCA and internal procedures.
11. Engage with demanding clients to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
12. Coordinate with technical staff to ensure a consistent client experience.
13. Work effectively under pressing deadlines, including outside standard hours if necessary.
14. Have 5+ years of experience in the independent financial services industry, specifically in a paraplanning role.
15. Hold Chartered Financial Planner status with the CII.
16. Understand principles of asset allocation and portfolio construction.
17. Possess excellent knowledge of investment, life, and pension products, along with current legislation.
18. Have broad knowledge of esoteric products such as VCTs, EIS investments, and structured products.
19. Understand Income Tax, CGT, IHT, Trusts, and pension transfers (both DC and DB).
20. Recognize the importance of lifetime cashflow modeling, preferably with experience using Voyant.
21. Experience with Intelliflo is advantageous.
