Job summary

CML is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead an established team of 6 engineers, shaping how we design, deliver, and innovate across civil projects. You will champion technical excellence, safety, and dependable delivery while fostering a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE or equivalent) with senior-level experience.
• Experience coordinating temporary and permanent works design.
• Proven track record managing and developing engineering teams.
• Experience acting as CRE/CEM on rail contracts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an established team of engineers.
• Coordinate the design of temporary and permanent works across projects.
• Nominate CREs and CREMs on Rail frameworks and contracts; act as CEM when required.
• Represent engineering capability in client and stakeholder relationships.
• Own engineering compliance and drive process improvements.
