Job summary

Carter Jonas in London is seeking an experienced RICS Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy team. You will manage a varied portfolio, provide the full building surveying service to clients and help grow the office by developing existing and new client relationships, ensuring high standards of service and delivery.

The role requires excellent communication, robust technical knowledge across commercial and residential properties, and a proactive approach to project

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor with extensive industry experience.
• Excellent communicator with ability to build relationships with clients.
• Clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building surveys on commercial and residential properties.
• Prepare Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiate with clients and reps.
• Lead project management, contract administration and design for refurbishments, conversions, and new build projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies with other disciplines.
• Occasionally act as Principal Designer to comply with CDM 2015.
• Provide Party Wall and related services to building and adjoining owners.
• Advise on planned maintenance and lifecycle strategies.
• Investigate and advise on building defects and associated risks.
• Monitor development on behalf of landlords, tenants or lenders.
• Provide reinstatement cost guidance across property types in the UK.
