An established and highly regarded property consultancy is currently seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its Manchester-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to become part of a collaborative environment, working across a diverse range of sectors and projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in delivering a broad range of Building Surveying services, contributing to high-profile schemes, including Net Zero projects, and playing a key role in client management and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering a range of Building Surveying duties across multiple sectors
* Managing client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis
* Conducting building pathology assessments
* Design and specification of projects, including those aligned with Net Zero goals
* Full project management responsibilities, including pre- and post-contract duties
* Carrying out Due Diligence Surveys and Condition Surveys
* Performing Contract Administration duties
* Applying standard forms of building contracts, ideally JCT and NEC
* Acting as a Designer under CDM Regulations with a strong understanding of health and safety requirements
Requirements:
* BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from an RICS-accredited program
* Full membership of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
* Proven, well-rounded experience in Building Surveying
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally beyond
* Strong knowledge of industry developments and best practices
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to produce, format, and edit professional documents
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Revit and an awareness of BIM is an advantage
* A full understanding of Health and Safety regulations and compliance
