Job summary

Hirecracker Planning, a Liverpool-based independent consultancy, seeks a Chartered Building Surveyor to lead projects from early stages within a small, close-knit team. You will manage dilapidations, contract administration, and refurbishment, with exposure to PPM and measured surveys.

The role requires national travel across the UK and offers flexible working after established in the team, with autonomy and direct access to business owners.

Qualifications

• MRICS status with building surveying focus
• Commercial building surveying experience
• Experience delivering dilapidations
• Contract administration and refurbishment project experience
• Willingness to travel nationally as projects require
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• APC nearing chartered status may be considered with relevant experience
• Experience in party wall or rights to light is a plus

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from early stages and deliver to high standards.
• Lead dilapidations work for landlords and tenants, plus contract administration.
• Oversee refurbishment projects and general project management tasks.
• Engage in PPM and measured surveys, drawings and related building surveying work.
• Travel nationally across the UK to client sites as needed; flexibility on travel.
• Collaborate with small team and report to owners with autonomy.
