Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is seeking a Building Surveyor in the UK with a RICS approved degree and strong client-facing skills. You will support the Building Surveying team on complex schemes, prepare schedules of dilapidations, and help manage on-site supervision and contract administration.

Diligence, organisation, and proactivity are essential, along with a full driving licence and good IT proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree (RICS approved, 2:1 minimum).
• Good IT skills with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to produce documentation to standards.
• Team player with client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects, commissions and professional services.
• Assist building surveys, take particulars on site, attend meetings.
• Write specifications, obtain estimates and plan maintenance programmes.
• Administer contracts for maintenance work.
• Support senior surveyors on complex multi-disciplinary schemes.
• Analyze and report on building defects.
• Prepare schedules of dilapidations and negotiate settlements.
• Supervise building work on site and provide design/construction advice.
