Job summary

CV Screen Ltd is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of a well-established national charity near Coventry. The role is hybrid (one day per week from home) with a salary between £35,000 and £40,000 and benefits.

It combines hands-on leadership of a small finance team with close work alongside the Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have broad financial management experience, be a qualified accountant or QBE, and enjoy improving processes and controls within a charity context.

Qualifications

• Broad financial management experience across management and statutory accounts, cash flow, reporting and compliance.
• Experience leading a small team; charity sector knowledge and SORP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of month-end, producing accurate management accounts, reconciliations and project-level reporting.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with budget holders to explain variances and actions.
• Oversee payroll, VAT, Gift Aid, membership, grant and donation income; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage, coach and develop a small finance team.
• Act as the main contact for the annual audit and drive improvements to financial systems and controls.
