Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting has been exclusively engaged by a respected community charity to recruit a Finance Manager in St. Austell on a permanent, full-time basis with a flexible hybrid arrangement.

The role leads day-to-day accounting, produces management accounts for the board, monitors cashflow, handles HMRC submissions, and liaises with external auditors. A strong technical and interpersonal skillset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in charity accounting preferred.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with board of trustees and management team.

Responsibilities

• Act as finance lead for the charity and oversee daily accounting operations.
• Prepare management accounts with commentary for the board.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cashflow and income monitoring.
• Handle HMRC submissions and monthly payroll incl. pensions.
• Prepare annual balance sheet and statutory reports per Charities SORP.
• Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders.
